This is a pretty long post for just talking about buying seats, but #1 it's a slow night, #2 I wanted to attempt to make a story out of it, and #3 I'm about to go out of town again and no one here will be blessed with my wonderful posts for a while....riiiight lol. Anyways if you're bored go a head and read it =)... During this ZCON in Dallas I got the chance to sit in Kuah's car. On his site he has some nice looking carbon fiber shelled seats listed on there for $399. The first time I saw the seats on his site, I just looked over them and moved on b/c I was very pleased with my stock seats and I had no use for an "uncomfortable racing seat." Well anyways, the first thing I noticed when I sat in Kuah's car at ZCON was how damn comfortable his seats really were. Getting in and out of them was a little harder sure (it is a purpose built seat), but once sitting in the seat, they hug you in all the right places, support you in all the right places, and they also have the perfect amount of padding. These three things together make the seat far more comfoprtable than stock IMO and also the added benefit of safety that the seat gives you is always an added plus. Throughout the day I think I sat in his car like three times to feel his seats again haha. The only thing that I didn't like about the seats was that they were not leather. I know this is the case since it is a purpose built racing seat, but we all know how I am :D. Anyways, A couple weeks went by and I had been out of town for a while and I decided to start looking for new seats online. After searching for a long time, I decided on some other seats (Cobra Misanos), and placed the order for them. After waiting for a while though and thinking about how comfy Kuah's seats were, and how they were only 13lbs each, I decided to cancel my order for these very expensive seats and wait till I got a chance to sit in Kuah's car again to see if I really liked his much cheaper and lighter seats that I remembered being very comfortable. Anyways, last weekend came by, and after exchanging some e-mails to meet Kuah in Dallas while he was up here, I was never able to meet him b/c of work and/or stuff. I decided that I had to visit my gf who is now living in Austin anyways, so I might as well make a swing by SPL at the same time to check out his seats again, and to save some money on shipping by just picking them up myself if I liked them. The drive down there on Friday was terrible and took about 6 hours instead of my usual 3. It was funny, b/c it had not rained here the whole time I had been back to Texas, then this day it POURED the whole way from south of Waco to just north of Austin. Luckily once I was in Austin though it stopped which was perfect =) Anyways, once getting to SPL, Kuah was there and ofcourse the guy was nice as usual. He is a real great guy to talk to in person and is also a great seller to this community who obviously knows his stuff when it comes to our cars Anyways, I sat in his seats again and absolutley loved them. I had already told Kuah that I was going to get them recovered in black leather and where the wear patches were in black suede, so he offered to sell me his used seat which was in basically perfect shape for a discount. I took them! I also told him how I was checking out the Misano seats before his seats, and he told me that he had those or sat in them before (can't remember which he said), and overall I got the impression that he wasn' t impressed with them, and also he said they were just as heavy as stock. Anyways, I made my purchase, hung out there for about an hour, then headed to stay at my gf's for the weekend in Austin. As soon as I got to her palce, I decided to let people sit in the seats to make sure that I got the right size for the passenger seats and to see how other people thought that they felt just for shits and giggles. We set the seats up on a couch, and first, since no one else was there, I let my gf sit in them. I bought both passenger and driver seats in the small versions, and when she sat in one, it looked like she could have used an even smaller version haha...the seat basically swallowed her up lol and she said they were very comfortable, but she still had some space on the sides of her in the seat. This was fine with me though, b/c she still thought they were very comfy, and she also is one of the smaller people that I do know. I sat in them again and yes they are perfectly snug for me. I wouldn't want them any smaller or any larger. I'm only about 5'10" and 150 lbs though. Anyways, we had a party at her place that night and during the night I had almost everyone sit in the seats and tell me what they thought lol. Everyone there knows I'm into cars and wasn't suprised at all. Anyways, basically everyone really said they were VERY comfortable (one guy I had a hard time getting him out!), but when it came to some of the large guys like over 6'2", or some of the shorter, but hiskier guys, and also any girl that was over like 5'8" since girls have slightly wider hips than guys, the seats did seem to be a little on the tight side. I didn't want my passengers #1 destroying my seats getting in and out, and #2 not being able to ride in my car comfortably, so b/c of this, I decided to get a larger seat for my passenger one, cause I would hate it if I offered one of my buddies a ride in my car and they couldn't b/c they were a larger guy lol That would suck. That Monday, I went back to Kuahs told him about what happened and he said he'd glady exchange the passenger seat with me, and he explained to me that in his own car he has the same setup as me now, which is to have the smaller seat on the driver's side since he is the only driver, and the larger seat on the passenger side incase there is anyone over 6'2" or any dude that is like 5'8" but "larger" trying to get into the car. You never know who will be wanting a ride in your car, but you always know who the driver will be =) Anyways, sorry about the LONG post about a damn seat, but to make a long story short, that Monday I exchanged the seats (Thanks again Kuah), said my goodbyes, drove strait to James at importsextreme near where I live in Dallas-ish and dropped the seats off to be covered with black stiched leather and accents of black suede for the wear patches. That is where they still are and I will post pictures when I get them back and I am back in town. I know I don't NEED the seats, but I am very pleased with them, and they really are a lot more comfy than stock. Thanks for reading. Here are a couple pics. I will post pictures of the final outcome of the seats once I get them back from James and am back in town. Hmmm...clouds ahead.
 Finally here
My goofy ass happy with the seats I'm about to get. I swear I actually did cut my hair this summer.
Last picture...I <3 this car.! That wing up close is a total work of art and we all know Kuah will use it :). He also said that the mouting for the wing he has will be changed to a nicer looking CF piece very soon instead of the current aluminum piece. It also looks like he also changed his brown dash to a black one. Overall, one bad ass and mean car.
